Merry Christmas Eve!

This was an anniversary present for my boyfriend. We've only watched a little of Game of Thrones, but he really wants a dire wolf. Not knowing where to acquire said beast, I thought I'd give him this as an alternative. Happy holidays everyone!

Experimenting

Although I love drawing with pen, when you haven't drawn for awhile, it's a rough way to start out. It does, however, make me draw faster so I'm not creepin' as long per drawing, which is a plus. This is a new pen I just picked up and have been playing around with.

Noel and I were at CTN this past weekend and it was a blast! So many amazing artists and incredible people. It's hard to go and not feel inspired... and overwhelmed by how much talent there is in the industry. We got some good feedback on our portfolios, so now it's time to get to work!!!

Ok, so maybe not oodles. More like a few pages out of my sketchbook. Also, I've recently gotten some of my friends into the show Psych, so I've been rewatching the series. I did a doodle of Shawn using his psychic  power and decided to do a quick coloring of it. If you haven't seen the show, you should. Do it.

Fall Kickoff

Some of you may have noticed that about 3/4 of my posts are now missing images. This is because I managed to delete the album where all these images were stored in Google+ and it has been slow going trying to find them and re upload them. There are probably going to be more than a few posts that just disappear. My image recording keeping is a bit dodgy. I am also going to try to get back in the habit of posting more regularly. Here are some sketches I did for fun to kick off fall.

The Final Countdown

The finals days of the final semester of my term at DigiPen have come. I figure that means I should post some things from our final senior project. There's more on our production blog and sooner or later we'll start posting some animation clips and perhaps even the whole film!

Le Rendez-Vous

I haven't been able to get out as much as I'd like this year, but luckily there's a new cafe/bakery in town called Le Rendez-Vous! It has such a cozy atmosphere that I can sit there for hours (which is dangerous because I don't really have hours to spare). It's been feeling more like spring lately and a few of the female barristas have been wearing flowers in their hair which inspired this drawing.

For some reason moleskin sketchbooks make me want to draw in pen. Owls are awesome by the way.

Last minute winter thing

Since I missed the holiday season by a long shot, I figured I'd better post this before winter is officially over...

Spring Break!

Spring break has come at last! Although it doesn't feel like spring and there have been threats of snow flurries, the break will be nice. And it will be the last official spring break I ever have. Hopefully. Unfortunately, it will mostly be spent in catch up mode. So to kick off all the catch up, I decided I would start by posting a few scans that have been floating around on my hard drive, looking for a home. I love pen, but I'm a little out of practice these days.

Snow Day!

Snow has come at last! And since snow days always seem like a free pass to take the day off of whatever you're suppose to be working on, I thought I would take a break from things and post some old stuff from last semester. The last one is some of my real life 3D art skills put to use.
