Photoshop....sigh

I feel like every month or two I give photoshop a try, then, after looking like a fool, I decide to salvage what little self-respect I have left and stick to traditional media. But no more! I think I will try to make it a personal goal to do at least one photoshop thing per post. So it will most likely be substantially longer between posts. Other than that, just a few doodles, playing around with brown paper. I like it but I'm not quite sure how to optimize it's awesomeness. Quick value sketch in copic marker.

Happy Birthday May Babies!

So many birthdays this month... It was getting out of control, so I decided to do a piece to wish all you all a happy birthday. A bunch of doodles from our ProjectFUN training sessions. Drawing is the only way I can stay awake and attentive.

So it's been a long while since I last updated. Oops. I feel like I've done a lot more sketches than I'm posting here, but I'm not entirely sure where they are... oh well. But school is out now so I will most likely be on a more frequent posting schedule. Yay summer!

And suddenly I forgot how to draw

So it's been a rough week for drawing. Nothing good has really come from it, but obviously I'm ok with posting less than spectacular things.

Character, Color, and Cafe Sketches

Some rough sketches and color comps of a my character for class. I'm still not very happy with the design, but it's time to move on. Also a sketch from life drawing. It's been so long since I've tried to draw a real person. I also tried a colored cafe sketch. It went alright, I think. Obviously I have a lot of things to work on.

Things that distract me from unpleasant tasks

Just some doodles in their purest form. Becker the repulsive rat, Jaron the putrid pigeon and then some other things from being bored in class.

Characters and stuff

Some concept sketches for character design. Sadly, I still don't know who my character is. What they like, what they don't like, what makes them cry, their hopes, their dreams are all still a mystery to me. Hopefully things will come together soon. In the meantime, some cafe sketches and random doodle things. Just trying to get a creative flow going. Lastly, a quick speed sketch/painting in photoshop. Still trying to get comfortable digitally.
