I've been able to participate a few times in twitter's sketch_dailies! It's basically the newest, hippest drawing club on the block with a different topic every day. These were some of the topics last week. Everyone should give it a try, or a least check out all of the awesome art coming out of it.

Art for others

The top is my piece for the Very Merry Art Trade that happened over the holidays. I didn't want to post it until I knew it had been delivered. The bottom is part of a piece I've been working on for a friend.

Neverland

Off to Neverland! A Christmas present for my father, who still refuses to grow up :)

Some things I've been working on lately. The top is part of an illustration I'm doing as a Christmas gift, and the rest brush pen sketches. The tourists were for a book project my sister was working on.

The Ring of the Nibelung

A few doodles of a rhinemaiden, Brunnhilde, and Siegfried from Wagner's Ring of the Nibelung (the operas from which Tolkien first stole the Precious). My dad calls it the Disney version of Norse mythology, if Disney was a little more doom and gloom. At some point I'll try to do some real illustrations from the story.
